Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 under very poor conditions. Her mother, a failed actor and schoolteacher, sold automobiles, while her father worked as an auto salesman. Jennifer, the second-oldest of her siblings went to numerous theater performances with her mother. Jennifer was impressed. Jennifer's divorce was finalized at the age of five. Jennifer lived the majority of her youth within British Columbia, after her mother and father moved to the province with their four children. Jennifer did not attend school, though as a youngster she was very artistic. When she was in Canada she was the victim of bullying a lot. Her interest in theater diminished as she entered high school, she began participating in plays alongside her mother. All of her children were encouraged by their mom to follow their passion for art. Her immediate response was to take action.
